Sermon Text: Acts 8:26-35
Sermon Title: Just One Pt 2 The FATS OF
LIFE
Point 1: FAITHFUL vss. 4 – 8 - 4
Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5 Philip
went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. 6 When the
crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close
attention to what he said. 7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many,
and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in
that city.
Point 2: AVAILABLE vs
26 - 26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the
desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.
Point 3: TEACHABLE vs. 34 - 34 The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell
me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?”
Point 4: SALVATION vss. 37 –
38 - Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” The eunuch
answered, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 And he gave
orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the
water and Philip baptized him
Life Application:
1. Take Sunday in the Park tickets/door knockers
2. Pray for opportunities to witness
3. Commit to invite one unbeliever/unchurched person to Sunday in the
Park
