Make God an Offer He Cannot Refuse

Sermon Text: Romans 12: 1-2
Sermon Title: Empowered to Evangelize: Make God an Offer He Cannot Refuse

Point 1: Offer your body. We are urged, in view of the many mercies of God “to offer our bodies as living sacrifices.” This word “offer” is a technical term that was used to describe the bringing and presenting of an animal for sacrifice on an altar. To “offer” means, “to present once and for all.”

Point 2: Offer your mind.

2 Corinthians 3:18: “And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Romans 12:2: “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a newness in all you do and think.”

Point 3. Offer your will. Verse 2: “Then we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
