Greater is Coming: Pt. 4 You Can’t Void My Greater

Review: Isaiah 46: 10 Greater is Coming: Pt. 1 This is only a Test…in order for you to receive most anything from life you had to pass a test. Drivers test. Test for your job. Test in school. A test is the clearest sign you will ever receive you are on the verge of greater.

2 Corinthians 4: 17 Greater is Coming: Pt 2 It's a Matter of Time… For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. Greater will always outweigh my troubles. The purpose of trouble was to achieve greater. Troubles are weighed and greater is achieved by their weight.

Ephesians 3: 20 Now unto him who able to do exceedingly abundantly more than you could ask or think..

Greater is Coming: Pt. 3 Get in Position

1: 20 raised him at his right hand 2: 6 seated us with him…our position 3: 10  the position 6: 12 Greater is coming based on where you sit. Greater is coming based on your spiritual position.

Text: Isaiah 55: 11

Point 1: His Weapon Isaiah 54: 16, 17 See it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; (17) no weapon forgedagainst you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.

Point 2: His Word Isa 55: 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Numbers 23: 19 put it this way God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? God's word is so powerful only he can make it happen. Hebrews put's it this way 6: 13, 14 When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, "I will surely bless you…"

Point 3: His Thoughts Isa 55: 8 For my thoughts are not your thoughtsneither are your ways my ways,”

Point 4: His Example Isa 55: 10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater

Life Application:

(a) Find the word that fits your situation…healing, provision, peace

(b) Get a firm grip of faith in that word and don't let go

(c) Commit that word to memory and confess that word often

Greater is Coming Pt. 3 Get in Position

Text: Ephesians 3: 20

Point 1: Christ position Ephesians 1: 20 which he exerted in Christ when he raised him at his right hand in heavenly realms.

Point 2: My position Ephesians 2: 6, 7 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (7) in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
(21) far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given , not only in the present age but also in the one to come. (22) And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church

Point 3: Our position Ephesians 3: 10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

Point 4: The position Ephesians 6: 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms.

Conclusion: Now I can say Ephesians 3: 20 Now to him who can do exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think according to his power that is at work within us.

Greater is Coming: Pt. 2 It’s Just a matter of Time!

Point 1: Outward vs. Inward vs. 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. Paul I want to know what's your secret when outwardly things are wasting away?

Point 2: Momentary vs. Eternal vs. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. One of the most difficult things to deal with is momentary! Paul said life in part is about momentary verses eternal.

Point 3: Seen vs. Unseen vs. 18 So we fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. Paul is talking about the natural verses the supernatural.

Conclusion: Weigh it…

Greater is Coming! Part 1

Text:  Isaiah 46:10 - I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.  I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’
·      Vs. 6 - 6 Some pour out gold from their bags and weigh out silver on the scales; they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god,    and they bow down and worship it.
·      Vs. 7  They lift it to their shoulders and carry it; they set it up in its place, and there it stands. From that spot it cannot move.  Even though someone cries out to it, it cannot answer; it cannot save them from their troubles.
·      Vs 8 “Remember this, keep it in mind,  take it to heart, you rebels.
·      Vs 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.  I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’
1.   Accept God is cheering for you.
a.   Jeremiah 29:11 - 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

2.   If He is cheering for you, then your current situation is a test
a.   Ps 7:9 - 9 Bring to an end the violence of the wicked    and make the righteous secure— you, the righteous God who probes minds and hearts.
b.   Psalms 17:3 - 3 Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.
c.    Psalms 26:2 - 2 Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
d.   Psalms 139:23-24 - 23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

3.   Regular programming will resume with a test.
a.   1 Cor. 10:13 - No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
4.   The test is one of three truths
a.   Inward Poverty - The test reveals you have increasingly responded poorly and have failed to act obediently.
b.   Inward Plateau -The test reveals you have not matured, but have become stagnant in your growth.
c.    Inward Progress - The test reveals you have grown and have responded better than ever.
5.   God’s got your back
a.   Isaiah 46:10-13 - 10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ 11 From the east I summon a bird of prey;    from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose.  What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do.  12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are now far from my righteousness. 13 I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed.   I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel.
