WWJD w My Bills

Pericope:  Deut. 28:1-8
Sermon TextGen 8:22 - “As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter,
day and night will never cease.”
Sermon Title:  WWJD w My Bills
Point 1:  Ask Me Where is My Money?
a)  Jesus asked the man he gave one talent, where was it?  Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
b)  God said don’t come to me empty handed.  Deut. 16:16 Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed:
c)  He gave you 90% to work with so God is puzzled why you always need his 10% - Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
d)  Have you misappropriated?  Haggai 1:6 You have planted much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
Point 2:  Assign Your Money a Task
a)  Our money has an assignmentMatt 18:22 - . 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
b)  Our money builds the kingdom.  God relies on self finances to support his work.  Haggai 1:4  “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your paneled houses, while this house remains a ruin?”
c)  There must be an exchange for rust and corruption for eternal savings. Matthew 6:20 - But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
d)  Souls are attached to each dollar you give
Point 3:  God will Add to My Money
a)  The more you give, the more you receive
·       Gen. 8:22 - “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.”
·       Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
·       2 Corinthians 9:6 -  Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
b)  God will open up the windows/opportunities - Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
c)  God give you ability to get wealth - Deuteronomy 8:18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
d)  Acknowledge him and watch your life overflow with blessings. Proverbs 3:5-6, 9-10 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,  and your vats will brim over with new wine.
e)  Obedience turns our harvest to plenty.    Matt 18:19-22  19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.”  21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said. 22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
f)    He shall supply all your needsPhilippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
