Sermon TitleGod’s Will, Will WIN…How to Handle Wild Relationships!

Point 1: The compliantAbraham vs 2 …Abraham agreed with what Sarai said.  (6) your servant is in your hands do what you think is best… 21: 5 Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.21: 14 Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the Desert of Beersheba.

Point 2: The complicated, irritant, irrationalSarah vs 3 Sarah his wife took her Egyptian maidservant Hagar and gave her to her husband to his wife (5) Then Sarah said you are responsible for the wrong I am suffering…I put my servant in your arms know that she knows she is pregnant she despises me. May the Lord judge between you and me.” 21: 10…Get rid of that slave woman and her son

Point 3: The compelled obligatory…Hagar vs 4 He slept with Hagar and she conceived vs 11 The angel of the Lord also said to her… (15) So Hagar bore Abram a son… 21: 18 Lift up the boy…
Hagar is a reminder of the person who does what they are told.
Genesis 16: 7 The angel of the Lord… (9) …the angel of the Lord… (11) The angel of the Lord… (13) …she gave him the name the Lord had spoke to her… You are the God who sees me…
Genesis 21: 2, 4, 6, 17 (3), 12 Listen to whatever Sarah tells you to do, 19, 20, 22 
Verse 22 - 2 At that time Abimelek and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, “God is with you in everything you do 
God is with you

Life Application: 
1.  Remember there is a godly purpose in every relationship…look for God behind the confusion…
2.  Do your best to find the purpose and ‘why’ in every relationship you have…mine it, dig for it, investigate it

3.  Check your relationship with Jesus he enables you to see God in the wild chaotic relationships around you…
