God Position for Increase GPS2018

Pericope: Jeremiah 29:11; Prov 19:21
Sermon Text: Prov. 19:21 -  Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Sermon Title: God Positioning Me for Increase – GPS2018

1: Count  Psalms 90:10 Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

1. Our time on earth is limited
2. What quarter are you in
3. You may or may not get more time

You can thank God you made it out of 2017 but there is no guarantee you will make it out of 2018.  James said in James 4:14 - Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

2 Cost Luke 14: 28-30 28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
1. Time is money.
2.  Purpose is time.
3.  There is a cost of not knowing your purpose and not having a plan.

3: Connect  Philippians 2:13 3 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
1. God connects you to your purpose.
2. You’ve got to connect to God.
3. Purpose and God’s glory go together.

 4: Comply Ephesians 2:10 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
1. Please God with your purpose.
2. Potter and Purpose
3. You are an outlier

Our purpose is to comply with God by doing good works that range from ushering, to preaching, to being a successful business man/women.  Ephesians 2:10 - For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

5: Consider Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
1. No plan-no purpose.
2. No content with God no idea.
3. The plan is revealed minute by minute, hourly, and daily.

6. Calculate Ecclesiastes 8:6 For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a person may be weighed down by misery.
Timing is everything.  How many of you know if you had left a little bit earlier…later…your life would have been so much different.
1. Timing is everything.
2. What time is it?
3. What quarter are you in?

 7: Choose  Ecclesiastes 3:11 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
1.  Eternity is in your heart.
2.  Quench the thirst.
3.  Which well
