Sermon Title2020 Vision for Living Pt 4 Paying it Forward
Psalms 110: 4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” Hand on to that biblical phrase “the order of”.  Now let read the book of Hebrews rendition of Genesis 14:19ff.
Hebrews 7: 1-10 7 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, 2 and to him Abraham apportioned a tenth part of everything. 3 He [Melchizedek] is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling [after the order of] the Son of God he continues a priest forever. 4 See how great this man[Melchizedek]  was to whom Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth of the spoils! 6 But this man [Melchizedek] who does not have his descent from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises. 9 One might even say that Levi himself, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, 10 for he was still in the loins of his ancestor when Melchizedek met him.
Principle 1:  Store up so you can sure up.
Mathew 6: 19- 19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Luke 12: 33-34 33 Sell your possessions, and give to the needy. Provide yourselves with moneybagsthat do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.
Principle 2: Rewards are for now and later.  1 Cor 3: 12-15 — 13 each one's work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, 14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone's work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.
Luke 16: 9-12 9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings. 10 “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
Mark 10: 28-30 28 Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.
Principle 3: Generosity gets a real time heavenly response.
Acts 10: 4 4 And he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God.
Principle 4: Procrastination prevents provision for your vision.  Eccl 11: 4 NLT Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.

Principle 5Paying it forward accepts the reality eternity is foreverGen 14: 19b“Blessed be Abram by God Most High,    Creator of heaven and earth
