Review:  Luke 8:22 One day Jesus said to his disciples let us go over to the other side of the lake.  Everybody is on their way to the other side of something.

2. Stay focused

3. Set your eyes on the prize

4. Step up your faith

5. This was scheduled by Jesus

Pericope: Job 1:6-12

Sermon Text: Job1:8 (a) Then the Lord said have you considered my servant Job?

Sermon Title: OMW 2 the Other Side Pt 2

1: You are blameless and upright. Vs 8(b)“Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright. 

• 2 Corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

• Jude 1:24 - Now to him who is able tokeep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,

2. You fear God and shun evil. Vs 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” 

3.  You are unmatched – vs. 8 There is no one like him.  God said Job was head and shoulders above everyone.

God doesn’t say any less about you and I. God said you are the head and not the tail.  Deuteronomy 28:13 13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. YOU ARE UNMATCHED BECAUSE GOD GAVE HIS SON FOR YOU. 

4. You are more than a conqueror. Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 

5. You are rich not poor. Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

6. You are loved.  

• Romans 8:39 - neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

• Ephesians 3:18 - may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

7.  You are awesome.  

Psalm 139:14 - I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.

Life Application:

1. Believe what God says about you and act on it.

2. Reject what others say about you.

3. Proceed to the other side where God is taking you to bless you
