Inseparable


Pericope: Romans 8:35-39
Sermon Text: Romans 8:35 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
Sermon Title:  Inseparable
Point 1: God’s Love Eliminates fear of rejection 1 John 4:1818 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Point 2:  God’s Love Eliminates fault finding 1 Peter 4;8 8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Point 3: God’s Love Eliminates any sense of defeat Romans 8: 31, 37 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Point 4: God’s Love fills us with his love 1 John 4:9-10 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Point 5: God’s Love Elevates our understanding love Ephesians 3:17-19 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
