The Journey of my Life


Sermon Text: Acts 27: 23, 24 23 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 24 Last night an angel of the God whom I am and whom I serve stood beside me and said, Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has generously given you the lives of all who sail with you.’
Sermon Title: The Journey of my Life
Point 1: What do you do when you are [Shipwrecked]? Acts 27: 41 But the ship struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.
(a)     You realize God blew you to that point…God is sovereign
(b)     Every season is God’s season…it may not feel like your season but it is God’s season
(c)     God is with you no matter how bad the shipwreck
Point 2: What do you do when you are [Snake bitten]? Acts 28: 3 Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, driven out by the heat, fastened itself on his hand.
(a)     Don’t stop what you are doing… vs. 5 But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill. Paul never stopped serving, Paul never stopped doing what he was doing
(b)     Don’t wait to die wait for the deliverance
(c)     Defy the odds and the odds makers…there will always be somebody ready to count you out vs. 6 The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.
Point 3: Flowing in the [Supernatural] 28: 8, 9 His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. 9 When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.
Phil 4: 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty, I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.
(a)     Your journey always include the supernatural you just got to get in position…
(b)     Somebody is waiting on you to show your flow but they will never experience it if you are not in position
(c)     Everything you lost in the journey will be restored for the flow Acts 28: 10 They honored us in many ways and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.
Conclusion: Acts 27: 23, 24 But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. 24 Last night an angel of the God whom I am and whom I serve stood beside me and said, Do not be afraid, Paul.
